William Shatner’s Lime-Garlic Broiled Chicken

I can’t tell you too much about this chicken apart from that it was GOOD.  The moral of the story is, if you don’t write about it soon after you have cooked it, you won’t remember a blinking thing about it.  I made it for “me, myself and I” one weekday night after work, what feels like a million, gazillion years ago.  In reality, it was probably last week.

What happens to the human brain when work is busy, social life is busy, home life is busy, love life is busy, there are a million things to do on the “to do list” and you feel like you are getting behind with EVERYTHING?

You make yourself some chicken…

Looks nice don’t it?  Mmm – it was.  I feel like I haven’t done William’s chicken recipe justice though.  I will make it again, I promise.  And when I do, I will post it.  If you want the recipe in the meantime, you can find it here at the blog of my lovely local butchers Morley’s in Crouch End.

By the way, I don’t think I looked TOO awful on TV.  Although I can’t figure out WHY I have so many teeth?  Here’s a link if you would like to check it out, me talking about the Shellac Sisters and our love of gramophones

Jenny and her gramophone

And talking of which, there are only 19 days left to listen to the best band in the known universe’s live set on 6Music – YE NUNS ON MARC RILEY

ye nuns

I have a feeling that the person in the whole wide world who will like this the best is my food blogger chum Yinzerella at Dinner Is Served 1972 – but dear reader, if you like the idea of an all girl supergroup who can blow your head off with their awesome musical skills.  Check them out STAT as Caroline Frick would say.

I have absolutely no doubt that William Shatner would dig Ye Nuns!

Well I”m going to watch you on the Iplayer–thank you for the link. I’d also love that chicken recipe–should I email you or can you just send it to me, please? It looks yummy.

I will send it to you my dear – I’ve popped it on the “to do” list! It’s possible the BBC iplayer link will be Geo-blocked so here’s a link for it on YouTube – I’m guessing that the BBC might have this removed at some point but for now, you can see it here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuKtlsdt61A&feature=youtu.be
